The K.C. Community Centre was established in 1990 to serve the educational, Groutville, Velani, youth and adults from less advantaged backgrounds in the areas of Etete, social and physical needs of children, spiritual, Kalafukwe and surrounding areas. Every weekend, we meet with approximately 100 - 150 children, young people and adults and provide the following services:= Sports coaching :basketball, soccer and netball = Literacy and skills training - assistance is given to those children who cannot afford to go to school, and those who are having learning difficulties at school. = HIV / AIDS Awareness Programs, child / substance abuse awareness, hygiene, domestic violence awareness and counseling - Ongoing talks are given by the leaders and key people in the community. We have been successful in reaching out to the abovementioned rural communities for the past 15 years. Our purpose is to empower, etc. They are also empowered so that they can become more effective in their communities and make a difference.The K. C. Community Centre is an established organisation, alcohol, clean fun without the use of drugs, and have good, to develop good morals, motivate and bring individuals to their full potential…becoming the best at what they can be. Members are taught to be hard working, registered with the Department of Social Development. = Distribution of food hampers, clothing and shoes.= Annual Christmas party for up to 1500 children: Every Christmas children in the area are invited and treated to a party pack, a gift and a food hamper.
